In the past few years, since my family and I moved to Europe from the US Midwest, I’ve had the opportunity to see and travel to far more places than I ever dreamed. It’s been one incredible adventure.

During that time, I’ve written dozens of posts on my travels around Europe, from places like Dubrovnik to Paris, from Sweden to Tuscany. We’ve traveled to 23 countries in Europe, and dipped our toes in 5 seas!

    I love the American West – so cliche, I know. But it’s so expansive and so beautiful. You can find every landform you’ve ever thought of and some you never knew existed.

    You are such an inspiration. Our daughters are 6 and 8 right now and we’re hoping to begin more travel adventures with them. What’s your best tip for traveling extensively abroad with kids?

      Aw, thanks Lisa! I think my biggest piece of international-travel-with-kids advice would be to not stay in the busiest part of the cities. We’ve traveled in and through most European cities with our boys, and the times we’ve stayed in the city have been more stressful than fun. The ideal place is where you don’t step out the front door and have to grab your child’s hand to keep them from being run over in the next instant. European streets are very narrow and busy, and that’s the biggest concern all of my friends experience as well, safety with all of the buses, trams, scooters, taxis, etc.

      I hope you have great experiences! The memories are worth it.
